Miami, FL – The San Francisco Giants' major league record of 21 consecutive solo home runs came to an end Sunday.
Cody Ross belted a two-run homer in the third inning of the Giants' series finale against the Florida Marlins.
It was the first non-solo home run for the Giants since Nate Schierholtz cracked a two-run shot on July 6 against the Padres.
The Giants quickly began a new streak, however, as Schierholtz led off the fourth with a homer and Brandon Belt added a solo shot in the sixth.
