Giants' Smith to miss rest of season after knee surgery
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York Giants' Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith will undergo season-ending knee surgery in a major blow to the NFC East co-leaders, the team said on Wednesday.
Smith injured his left knee in Monday's 21-3 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The date for his surgery has not been set, the team said on its website (www.giants.com).
Monday's game was Smith's first after missing four contests with a partially torn pectoral muscle.

The Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles, both 9-4, meet on Sunday at New Meadowlands Stadium for the NFC East lead. The Eagles won their first meeting last month in Philadelphia.
