Perth, Australia (SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Geary fired a 7-under 65 on Sunday to claim a five-stroke victory at the WA Open Championship.

Geary earned his first win on the PGA Tour of Australasia at 15-under-par 273.

"It has been six or seven years now that I have been trying for a win," said Geary. "The highest hurdle is the first one. Now I have broken through I should be good for the near future."

Geary entered the final round a stroke behind overnight leader Kristopher Mueck, but quickly overtook the top spot with four straight birdies from the second while Mueck tripped to bogeys at the second and third.

Geary cruised from there, picking up shots at the ninth, 13th, 14th and 17th around a bogey at the 12th to earn the big win.

Mueck birdied three of his last five holes to close out a 1-under 71 and finish in second place at 10-under-278.

Nathan Holman (68) took third at 9-under, while Kim Felton (68), Steven Jones (69) and Peter O'Malley (68) shared fourth at minus-8.
