The Furman and South Carolina State football teams will play a home-and-home series in 2014 and '15, the two schools announced Thursday.
They will square off at South Carolina State on Sept. 20, 2014, before returning to play at Furman in 2015.
The two programs met 14 times between 1982, beginning in a then-NCAA Division I-AA playoff game, and 1998. Furman leads the all-time series, 10-4.
Furman is a Southern Conference member; South Carolina State plays in the Mid- Eastern Athletic Conference.
