Sochi, Russia (SportsNetwork.com) - French biathlete Marie Laure Brunet is resting according to the French Olympic committee after she collapsed during the women's 4x6-kilometer relay on Friday.

Brunet was the first skier for the French and had gone a perfect 5-for-5 in the shooting session before needing to be carried off the course following her medical incident.

According to the CNOSF, Brunet has returned to the Olympic Village and is resting.

France was given a DNF in the relay. The 25-year-old Brunet was part of silver-medal winning relay team in the 2010 Games in Vancouver, where she also won bronze in the 10-km pursuit.
