Fordham signs 15 for Moorhead's first class

Fordham University football coach Joe Moorhead announced the 15 members of his first recruiting class on Thursday, one day after the national signing period began.

It is the Rams' third recruiting class since the university began awarding athletic scholarships in 2010.

The new class features eight offensive players and seven defensive players, including one junior college transfer, safety Levon Williams from Nassau Community College.

The most prevalent positions of the class are running backs and defensive linemen with three each.

Moorhead is trying to rebuild the Patriot League program after its 1-10 finish last season. The Fordham alum coached at the University of Connecticut the last three seasons.
