Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers announced Friday that enforcer Tom Sestito will have surgery to repair a torn groin muscle next week.
The 24-year-old winger will miss 6-to-8 weeks.
Sestito left Thursday's game against Buffalo with what the team termed a lower-body injury.
The 6-foot-5 Sestito has appeared in 14 games for the Flyers this season, posting one assist and 83 penalty minutes.
