The Minnesota Wild acquired forward Darroll Powe from the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2013 Entry Draft.

Powe, who turned 26 on June 22, is an undrafted free agent who established a role with the Flyers over the past three seasons as an energy-line player with the capability of chipping in the odd goal.

Powe scored a career-high 9 goals during the 2009-10 season and followed up last season with 7 goals and a career-best 17 points while playing in 81 regular-season games. He added an assist while playing in all 11 playoff games for the Flyers.

For his career, Powe has 22 goals and 43 points in 204 regular-season games, and 1 goal and 5 assists in 40 playoff games.
