Greg Gantt scored a season-high 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Florida Atlantic defeated Florida Memorial 94-76 on Monday night in its first home game since Dec. 4.

The Owls (9-6) led most of the way but the Lions (6-7), an NAIA team, grabbed a 64-62 lead with 13:44 remaining on a layup by George Gray, who led them with 27 points.

Matthew Rolle's layup put Florida Memorial ahead 68-64 with 11:41 left, but the Owls ran off the next 21 points for an 85-68 lead at the 5:01 mark.

Kore White, who finished with 14 points, scored eight for the Owls during their big run, and Gantt hit a pair of 3-pointers.

The Owls' 94 points was their season high.

Florida Atlantic had a 45-27 rebounding advantage and blocked 12 of Florida Memorial's shots, with White rejecting six and Brett Royster five.

Giorgio Gramegna had 13 points and Antwan Baggs 12 for the Lions.
