Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Calgary Flames signed defenseman TJ Brodie to a five-year contract extension on Monday.
Brodie has gotten off to a strong start this season, posting three goals and four assists through seven games.
The 24-year-old Ontario native has registered 11 goals and 66 points in 192 career games.
The Flames selected Brodie in the fourth round of the 2008 draft.
