INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis 500 veteran and IndyCar team owner Sarah Fisher plans to open a karting track near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next year.
Fisher announced plans to open Speedway Indoor Karting in the town of Speedway just blocks from the current CFH Racing IndyCar shop co-owned by Fisher. It's set to open in April 2016.
The 60,000 square-foot, multi-level facility is a privately owned investment by Fisher and her husband, Andy O'Gara. It will include a 14-turn road course with multiple elevation changes and a banked oval that will be sunk into the floor.
