VANCOUVER - Large outdoor screens have been set up for Canucks fans in downtown Vancouver for Game 2 and there is a festive mood in the city for Saturday night's game.

Vancouver is hot and sunny as fans prepare to cheer on the Canucks in Game 2 against the Boston Bruins, with thousands gathered in front of large outdoor screens downtown, as well as in local sports bars.

Blue, white and green Canucks jerseys seem to be flowing in every direction in the city's core.

Some fans in shorts and sunglasses are tossing around beach balls as they wait for the puck to drop.

Fifty-seven-year-old Keith Tindel, wearing a Canucks jersey sitting in a lawn chair in front of one of the big screens, says he's relishing the chance to watch the team play in Vancouver's beautiful June weather.

It's a not-so-subtle acknowledgment that the Canucks are usually finished playing hockey by now — the team hasn't made the final since 1994.

But Tindel says the team has spent the past few years building itself up.

He says with the Canucks winning the opening game, he feels confident the Stanley Cup is finally within reach.
