FC Dallas signs Acosta as homegrown player

Frisco, TX – FC Dallas signed 16-year-old midfielder Kellyn Acosta as a homegrown player on Thursday.

Acosta has played for the United States at various youth levels, and has also featured for FC Dallas' academy and reserve teams.

"FC Dallas is excited to sign Kellyn Acosta to a professional contract," said FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman. "Kellyn is a very gifted player."

Acosta is the seventh homegrown player Dallas has signed. He will be eligible to play in 2013.
