Flowery Branch, GA – The Atlanta Falcons placed fullback Ovie Mughelli and guard Mike Johnson on injured reserve Tuesday.
The 6-foot-1, 250-pound Mughelli played in seven games this year. He came to Atlanta in 2007 after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
Originally selected in the third round by Atlanta in the 2010 NFL Draft, Johnson saw his first career action on special teams in Week 6 against Carolina. He was a healthy scratch in all 16 games during his rookie season.
The Falcons also signed fullback Mike Cox and offensive lineman Kirk Chambers to the active roster.
