Espanyol forward Juan Albin will miss the remainder of the La Liga season with a thigh injury.

The 25-year-old Uruguayan was injured during training over the weekend, and had tests Tuesday morning that revealed the extent of the injury. He is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks, effectively ending his season.

Espanyol plays Sporting Gijon, Granada, Barcelona and Sevilla in its final four matches, and ends the season the weekend of May 12-13.

Albin had played eight matches this season for Espanyol, which is 10th.
