Ivory Coast's African Cup of Nations qualifier at home to Sierra Leone is in doubt because the Ivorian government doesn't want players and officials from an Ebola-hit country to enter its territory.

Ivory Coast Football Federation spokesman Eric Kacou says that the federation has been told by the government to cancel or move the game, which is scheduled for Sept. 6 in the largest city, Abidjan.

Sierra Leone is one of the West African countries reeling from an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus that has killed over 1,400 people.

The Confederation of African Football moved qualifiers out of Sierra Leone and Guinea — another Ebola-affected country — but said other qualifiers next month would go ahead as planned.
