East Carolina says defensive end Terrell Stanley is in critical condition after he and a teammate were involved in a single-car accident in Greenville.

The school said Wednesday that Stanley was being treated at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville after the accident Wednesday morning.

Offensive tackle Isaac Harris was a passenger in a car driven by Stanley to school from their off-campus residence when they crashed on U.S. Route 264 Alternate.

Harris was treated and released from Vidant after precautionary evaluations were completed.

Stanley is a rising junior who started 12 games last season and had 46 tackles. Harris also started 12 games on the Pirates' line.
