Eagles to start Kolb at quarterback for injured Vick

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Philadelphia Eagles' back-up quarterback Kevin Kolb will start for the injured Michael Vick at San Francisco Sunday, said coach Andy Reid.

Vick, who did not practice this week, injured a rib in the first quarter of last week's loss to Washington and was replaced by Kolb.

Cornerback Asante Samuel and wide receiver Riley Cooper will also miss the game due to injuries, the Eagles said on their website (www.philadelphiaeagles.com).

Kolb, who was expected to be the Eagles' top quarterback this year, was hurt in Philadelphia's season-opener and Vick took over.

Vick started the next three games, leading the Eagles to victories over Detroit and Jacksonville before being injured against Washington.
