Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters had successful surgery on Tuesday to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon in his right leg.

The injury occurred last Tuesday while Peters was training in Texas.

Dr. Steve Raikin of the Rothman Institute performed the surgery in Philadelphia and no timetable for his return was given.

Peters, a five-time Pro Bowl selection and four-time All-Pro, has started 42 games at left tackle for the Eagles over the past three seasons since coming over from the Bills in an April 2009 trade.
