HOUSTON (AP) — Houston's Pat Onstad made two saves, Columbus' William Hesmer made one, and the Dynamo and Crew played to a scoreless tie Saturday at Robertson Stadium.

Columbus (8-2-4, 28 points) extended its unbeaten streak to three games but saw its winning streak end at two. The Crew stayed atop the Eastern Conference, keeping their two-point lead over New York, while Houston (5-7-4, 19 points) extended its unbeaten streak to three games — all ties.

Guillermo Barros Schelotto had an opportunity to give Columbus the lead in the 48th minute, but his header from 10 yards out went high. Adam Moffat had a breakaway in second-half stoppage time, but Onstad came off his line and made a sliding kick to knock the ball out of bounds.

Brian Ching had Houston's best chance to score in the 24th minute, but after getting a nice cross from the right from Danny Cruz, Ching missed a wide-open net from inside the 6-yard box wide left. Cam Weaver nearly gave Houston the lead in the 80th minute, but his shot from the upper right box missed the far post by inches and went out.
