Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant underwent bone graft surgery Tuesday on his right foot.

The successful procedure was performed in New York City, less than a week after it was announced that Durant would miss the remainder of the season because of the lingering foot injury. He is expected to return to full basketball activities in 4-to-6 months.

Durant last played on Feb. 19 and underwent a procedure a few days later in an effort to alleviate soreness from a screw that was inserted when the reigning NBA MVP had surgery in October to repair a fracture in the foot.

Earlier this month, the Thunder said Durant hadn't progressed as hoped and wouldn't participate in any basketball activities. He visited specialists last week and it was determined last Friday that another operation was necessary.

Durant underwent an initial procedure to repair a broken bone at the base of his small toe in October, then made his season debut on Dec. 2 and averaged 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in just 27 games.
