LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Anaheim Ducks have signed successful coach Randy Carlyle to a new three-year contract that will keep him through the 2013-14 season, the National Hockey League team said on Monday.
Financial terms were not announced.
Carlyle, 55, has been the Ducks' coach since August 2005. He has led Anaheim to its first Stanley Cup championship (2007) and five playoff appearances in six seasons (2005-09, 2011).
His 266-169-57 regular season record gives him the most wins and highest winning percentage of any Ducks coach.
The club went 47-30-5 in 2010-11 as it finished fourth in the Western Conference.
"He has been a true leader through thick and thin, and we are very pleased to be able to reward him with this well-deserved contract," Ducks general manager Bob Murray said in a statement.
