The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled outfielder/infielder Alex Castellanos from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Castellanos batted .143 over 11 games with the Dodgers earlier this season. Over 86 games for the Albuquerque this year, Castellanos batted .347 with 17 homers and 52 RBI.

To make room for Castellanos the Dodgers optioned pitcher Rubby De La Rosa to Albuquerque. De La Rosa was activated from the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday after recovering from Tommy John surgery. He allowed two runs over 2/3 of an inning on Wednesday, his only action of the season.
