Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp had arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle on Monday.

Dr. Robert Anderson performed the surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kemp originally injured the ankle on July 21 and was limited to just 73 games on the season. He finished the season batting .270 with six homers and 33 RBI.

On the final day of the season, he was ruled out of the playoffs and the team said that he is expected to be competitive in time for the regular season, but did not say whether he'd be ready for spring training.
