The three-team deal involving the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins is official, FOX Sports Insider Ken Rosenthal confirmed on Thursday.
The swap originally was reported to include only the Dodgers and Marlins, and the confusion and complexity of the trade caused it to be delayed. As a result, several of the players involved found themselves in an awkward position Wednesday.
In the end, the Dodgers will acquire left-hander Alex Wood, right-hander Jim Johnson, left-hander Luis Avilan, infielder Jose Peraza and right-hander Bronson Arroyo from the Braves, and right-hander Mat Latos and first baseman/outfielder Mike Morse from the Marlins; the Braves get infielder Hector Olivera, left-hander Paco Rodriguez, right-hander Zack Bird from the Dodgers, and a 2016 competitive-balance draft pick from the Marlins; the Marlins receive right-hander Jeff Brigham, right-hander Victor Araujo and right-hander Kevin Guzman from the Dodgers.
