Cole Dickerson scored 20 points and led four players into double figures as San Francisco easily outdistanced Nicholls State 77-48 Saturday night.

Both teams got off to a slow start after a prolonged break for exams — a two-week break for the Dons, who built a 30-17 lead at intermission.

Dickerson connected on 7 of 10 shots from the field, including 2 of 4 from 3-point range, and pulled down eight rebounds. Tim Derksen added 15 points while Mark Tollefsen and Avry Holmes added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The Dons (6-4) were a collective 23 of 40 from the field (57.5 percent). San Francisco came into the game averaging 85.2 points per game.

Dantrell Thomas and Jeremy Smith scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, to lead the Colonels (2-5), who are winless on the road.

The game was the first meeting between the schools.
