The Arizona Diamondbacks placed outfielder Cody Ross on the 15-day disabled list with a dislocated right hip. The team also recalled pitchers Chaz Roe and Tyler Skaggs from Triple-A Reno.

Ross suffered his hip injury during the first inning of Sunday's game against the New York Mets after falling while trying to beat out a grounder. He was hitting .278 with 17 doubles, eight home runs, and 38 RBI in 94 games with the D-Backs.

Roe has appeared in four games over two stints with Arizona this season where the right-hander has compiled a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 5.79 in 4 2/3 innings.

Skaggs has made seven starts for Arizona this season. The left-hander is 2-3 with a 5.35 ERA.

The Diamondbacks have also optioned Zeke Spruil to Reno after suffering the loss to the Mets on Sunday. He is 0-2 with an ERA of 5.56 in six games (two starts).
