Newark, NJ – New Jersey Devils defenseman Henrik Tallinder to-8 week.
New Jersey president and general manager Lou Lamoriello gave an update about Tallinder, who was a late scratch in the Devils' 4-1 loss to Boston on Thursday.
In his ninth season in the NHL, he has posted six assists in 39 games for the Devils.
He was originally a second round pick of the Sabres in 1997 and over 589 games between the Devils and Sabres he has posted 25 goals and 105 assists.
