Davion Berry scored 23 points as Weber State cruised to a 75-55 win over Southern Utah on Thursday.

Weber State (14-7, 11-2 Big Sky) shot 60.5 percent from the floor, including 10 of 17 from beyond the arc. Kyle Tresnak had 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting.

Jaren Jeffery led Southern Utah (1-21, 0-13) with 11 points, while A.J. Hess added 10.

Weber State raced out to a 20-9 lead — helped by 3-pointers from Kyndahl Hill and Jordan Richardson — less than 8 minutes in and never trailed in the game. They led 38-22 at intermission.

The Thunderbirds opened the second half with a 12-2 run to cut their deficit to six, but Weber State head coach Randy Rahe called timeout and his team responded with an 8-2 spurt and didn't look back from there.
