D.C. United forward Charlie Davies was 0 defeat of Chivas USA.

Davies struck in the 11th, 14th, and 66th minutes with all three assists coming from Chris Pontius. Davies is now in second place in the race for the MLS Golden Boot with 11 goals on the year.

The hat trick helped D.C. United, 34 points, jump from sixth place to fifth in the Eastern Conference standings, moving ahead of Red Bull New York, 33 points.

Davies becomes the third D.C. United player to win the award this season, along with Dwayne De Rosario (Week 20 & 21) and Pontius (Week 22).
