The Chicago Cubs have recalled pitcher Chris Volstad from Triple-A Iowa to start Tuesday's game against the Braves.

Volstad was optioned to Iowa on May 18 after going 0-6 with a 7.46 ERA in eight starts to begin the season. The 25-year-old is mired in a 19-start winless streak, with his last victory coming on July 10, 2011 as a member of the Marlins.

The righty went 5-13 with a 4.89 ERA in 29 starts with the Marlins last year and was acquired by the Cubs in the offseason in exchange for pitcher Carlos Zambrano.

To make room on the roster, Chicago optioned reliever Casey Coleman to Iowa on Tuesday. He went 0-1 with a 7.32 ERA in 16 appearances with the parent club this season.
