Cubs recall Campana, Cardenas, Sappelt

The Chicago Cubs recalled outfielder Tony Campana, infielder Adrian Cardenas and outfielder Dave Sappelt from Triple-A Iowa on the first day for roster expansion.

Campana enters Saturday's action hitting .259 with five doubles, 21 runs scored and 26 stolen bases in 70 games for the Cubs this season.

Cardenas made his major league debut this year and has batted .234 with six doubles, five runs scored and two RBI in 32 games for Chicago.

Sappelt hit .266 with 26 doubles, seven home runs, 54 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 133 games with Iowa this season.
