Chicago, IL – The Chicago Cubs recalled pitcher Jake Arrieta from Triple-A Iowa prior to Tuesday's doubleheader against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Arrieta will make his first start in a Chicago uniform in the second game of the twinbill.
The right-hander was a 2007 draft choice of Baltimore and made 63 starts in 69 appearances with the Orioles before heading to the Cubs as part of a four- player trade that sent Scott Feldman to the American League on July 2.
Arrieta reported to Iowa and went 1-2 with a 4.03 ERA in five starts.
