Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs placed pitcher Justin Grimm on the 15-day disabled list Friday with right forearm inflammation.
The move is retroactive to April 2.
Grimm was 5-2 with a 3.78 ERA in 73 relief appearances for the Cubs last season.
The Cubs filled the roster spot by recalling right-hander Brian Schlitter from Triple-A Iowa. He pitched in 61 games for the Cubs in 2014, going 2-3 with a 4.15 ERA.
