Jeremy Crutcher's free throw with 1 second remaining broke the game's 14th tie as Alabama A&M outlasted Jackson State 88-87 in two overtimes Friday night in Southwestern Athletic Conference play.

A layup and four free throws by Brandon Ellis gave the Bulldogs (6-7, 2-0) an 85-84 lead with 2:08 remaining in the final overtime. Green Hill's jumper made it 87-84 at the 35-second mark, but Dundrecous Nelson hit a tying 3-pointer 10 seconds later for the Tigers (1-10, 0-2).

Alabama A&M led by 17 points, 50-33, in the second half, but Jackson State rallied to lead 71-68 with 18 seconds left in regulation after a three-point play by Kelsey Howard, who scored 22 points. Hill's 3-pointer at the 14-second mark forced overtime.

Hill led the Bulldogs with 17 points, Justin Wagner had 15 and Crutcher 14 with seven assists.

Nelson added 15 points and Jeff Stubbs 12 for the Tigers.
