The Phoenix Coyotes re-signed forward Kyle Chipchura to a multi-year contract on Friday.

The 27-year-old Chipchura has spent the past two seasons with the Coyotes, compiling eight goals and 30 points in 99 games.

"Kyle is a hard-working center who adds character and grit to our roster," Coyotes general manager Don Maloney said in a statement. "We are happy to have him back."

A 2004 first-round pick (18th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens, Chipchura has totaled 18 goals and 40 assists in 262 career games with the Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks and Coyotes.
