Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Avalanche head coach Patrick Roy announced on Monday that forward Alex Tanguay will miss the next two weeks with a knee injury before being reevaluated.

Tanguay suffered the injury in Colorado's 4-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. Rookie Nathan MacKinnon will replace Tanguay on a line centered by Paul Stastny and has been moved to right wing opposite left wing Gabe Landeskog.

In 13 games this season, Tanguay has tallied three goals and nine points while averaging 17:16 of ice time.

Colorado hosts Nashville at the Pepsi Center on Wednesday night.
