WBC president Jose Sulaiman condemned Chisora for "severely slapping" Klitschko and said the organization would hold a hearing to determine the size of the fine.

"Boxing, even though it is violent, is a sport of gentlemen and fair play," Sulaiman said in a taped message on the organization's website (www.wbcboxing.com).

"The WBC has decided to fine Chisora for not complying with the fair play that is required in all sports."

Sulaiman said Klitschko had behaved like a professional despite the provocation at Friday's weigh-in.
