Chicago Fire captain Logan Pause is expected to be out for the next 4-6 weeks after breaking two ribs in a 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Union last weekend.

Pause sustained the injury after a collision with Philadelphia defender Bakary Soumare and had to be substituted before halftime.

"It's a big loss for us," Fire midfielder Chris Rolfe told MLSsoccer.com. "He works his butt off and covers for so many people on the field during games. It's going to be difficult for us."

The 30-year-old has started all 23 of Chicago's league games this season, scoring two goals with one assist.
