The Chicago Fire waived forward Kheli Dube on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Dube joined the Fire in the 2011 Major League Soccer Re-Entry Draft, but did not appear in a match this season.

"We want to thank Kheli for his time with the Chicago Fire and wish him well in his next venture," said Fire coach Frank Klopas.

Dube started his MLS career with the New England Revolution in 2008 and played 71 matches for the club over four seasons. He had 14 goals and nine assists.
