Chris Early scored 21 points and Chattanooga pulled away for an 85-76 victory over Elon on Saturday.

Omar Wattad added 19 points for the Mocs (13-10, 9-2 Southern Conference), who had 46 rebounds and 23 assists to only 12 turnovers.

Chattanooga built a 17-point first-half lead, but Elon (10-12, 4-7) tied the score at 58 on Ryley Beaumont's layup with 9:46 left in the game. The Mocs retook the lead and pushed it to 75-66 on DeAntre Jefferson's free throws with 2:39 to play.

They sealed it with six free throws in the final 43 seconds.

Chattanooga shot 59.1 percent from the field (13 of 22) — 5 of 8 from the 3-point line — in the second half and made 11 3-pointers in the game.

Keegan Bell and Ricky Taylor scored 15 points each for the Mocs.

Drew Spradlin had 21 points and eight rebounds and Chris Long added 17 points and eight assists for Elon.
