The chair of Olympic Park Legacy Company says she'll be stepping down after the games.

Margaret Ford, who is in charge of securing the economic future of the Olympic Park, says the next phase of development will require much attention to detail, and that she won't have enough time.

She says she'll step down after the July 27-Aug. 12 event.

Her decision comes only weeks before the company will be transformed into a development corporation, which will answer directly to Mayor Boris Johnson.

Ford will act as interim chair of the new body, and oversee the transition.
