Cech's status in doubt for Euro playoff
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech could miss his team's upcoming Euro 2012 playoff match with Montenegro on Friday after he suffered a broken nose over the weekend while playing for Chelsea.
Cech sustained the injury in a 1-0 win over Blackburn when he collided with teammate Ashley Cole. And according to Czech Republic coach Michal Bilek, he will be fitted for a special mask in an effort to help him protect the injury.
The 29-year-old will join his national teammates on Wednesday but his participation in Friday's match is still unsure.
