Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was a limited practice participant for a third straight day on Friday, putting his status for this weekend's game against St. Louis in question.

Palmer is dealing with a sore right elbow, the result of a hit he took during the first quarter of last week's game at Philadelphia. The veteran was able to throw for 302 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinals' 24-21 loss to the Eagles, however, and told reporters on Thursday that he fully expects to play against the Rams.

The Cardinals listed both Palmer and tight end Rob Housler (ankle/hip) as questionable for Sunday's clash.

Arizona does plan to have running back Andre Ellington back in action for its upcoming NFC West showdown after the rookie sat out the Philadelphia game with a knee injury.

Ellington practiced in full on Friday and is probable for Sunday's game.
