Canucks ink first-round pick Jensen

The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Nicklas Jensen.

Jensen, 18, was taken with the 29th overall selection in this past June's draft.

He has appeared in one preseason game this year for the Canucks, recording a goal and an assist en route to 4-3 win over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.

Jensen spent last season with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, collecting 29 goals and 29 assists in 61 games played.

Also on Thursday, the Canucks agreed to a new ECHL affiliation deal with the Kalamazoo Wings.
