Calgary F Letourneau-Leblond suspended

Toronto, ON – Calgary Flames forward Pierre-Luc Leblond has been suspended four preseason games and one regular season game by the NHL on Thursday.

The suspension stems from a hit from behind to Vancouver forward Matt Clackson late in the third period of a preseason game on Tuesday.

Letourneay-Leblond was given a minor for boarding on the play.

He will forfeit $6,402.44 in salary and will miss the rest of the preseason season along with the regular season opener at home against Pittsburgh on October 8.
