Bucs nab Navarro from Kansas City
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired infielder Yamaico Navarro from the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday for a pair of minor leaguers.
Navarro appeared in 22 big league games for the Royals and Boston Red Sox last season and was 15-for-60 with a home run and nine RBI. He was a .279 hitter in six minor league seasons.
The move also clears a 40-man roster spot for the Royals in advance of the Rule 5 Draft on Thursday.
