The Pittsburgh Pirates released outfielder Nate McClouth on Thursday.

The 30-year-old rejoined the Pirates during the offseason after spending the first five years of his career with the team. The 2008 All Star was traded to the Braves during the 2009 season, but injuries limited his production as he hit just .229 in Atlanta.McClouth, who has a .246 average with 81 homers and 272 RBI during his eight- year career, was batting just .140 in 34 games for Pittsburgh this season....
