Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Milwaukee Bucks power forward John Henson will not be with the team for its three-game western road trip due to a left ankle sprain.
Henson, who has been battling through the injury suffered on Dec. 20 against Cleveland, missed Milwaukee's 117-95 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. He is wearing a walking boot and will be re-evaluated after the team returns home on Jan. 7.
Bucks head coach Larry Drew suggested that Henson will be sidelined, "at least two weeks."
Henson has been a major contributor for the Bucks in his second season out of North Carolina, averaging 12.4 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game. Henson also ranks fifth in the league with 2.25 blocks per contest.
Larry Sanders, who returned to the lineup on Friday after missing 25 games with a broken thumb, will continue to start in Henson's absence.
