Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was inactive for Sunday night's AFC West clash against the Kansas City Chiefs because of a sprained left ankle.

Thomas, who has an NFL-best 12 receiving touchdowns this season, was sidelined for a second straight week.

Top Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib is also among the inactives because of a hamstring injury.

Linebacker Brandon Marshall, the Broncos' leading tackler, is active after passing the NFL protocol for a concussion he sustained against Miami last week.

Running backs Ronnie Hillman (foot) and Montee Ball (groin) remain sidelined for Denver.
